The London Design Festival has provided Muirhead, in collaboration with our sister business Bridge of Weir Leather, a remarkable platform to showcase our unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and design innovation. Our installation at the V&A, designed by the talented Kusheda Mensah of Modular by Mensah, has captivated the attention of visitors and garnered widespread praise. Kusheda’s stunning creation, made from our unused and rejected hides—what would typically be considered waste leather—stands as a powerful testament to how art and sustainability can harmoniously coexist. She selected Muirhead leather not only for its natural elegance and tactile appeal but also for our dedication to a zero-manufacturing waste process. By turning offcuts and manufacturing waste into valuable by-products, we are able to minimise environmental impact while upholding the highest standards of luxury.
